Our Male
As you can tell by the pictures, Peake is a big stout dog with a massive head and large shoulders.  He looks like a bear.  Temperament wise, he is pretty soft with a heart of gold.  I don't think he has a mean bone in his body and despite his size and strength, he is one of the easiest dogs to control because he has so much desire to please.  He loves to retrieve and is very powerful in the water.  He enjoys training and responds to it well without getting moody, or holding a grudge when he’s corrected. Peake enjoys being around his owners and other dogs.  If he is left alone he'll just wait by the door for somebody to come outside.  Peake is not aggressive, but he is protective of his owners.

Last year was the first year he hunted on the river and even though he has some things to learn about current and ice flows, he showed enough drive that I am confident that he will be a fine river goose dog for years to come.

Peake earned his WDX at the ACC Specialty in Pueblo in October.
Peake is dark brown in color.

Other Males
Obedient, eager to please, devoted, loyal, athletic, lovable, confident, versatile, and handsome are all words or phrases others have used, even hunt test judges, to describe LeeRoy.

LeeRoy comes out of Brennan's Sunshine Sirius SH WDQ (Star) and Boone's Bobby'n for Ducks MH. He is a great all around hunting partner and family pet. He's hunted on the Gunnison River for three years now and has shown a great deal of natural hunting ability. He's a great retriever in both the water and in the field. He has no problem picking up a duck, goose, or pheasant.

LeeRoy has earned is SH hunting title. He is fiercely loyal, devoted, and obedient to his owners and exhibits typical Chesapeake behavior with strangers but warms up very quickly to new people.

LeeRoy's build and conformation compliment his tremendous athletic abilities perfectly. His versatility is unsurpassed. He will hunt all day and be ready for a 4 day back packing trip in the back country the next. He's right at home with a bird in his mouth or with a pack around his back. He's a joy to be around and is full of love.

LeeRoy is light brown in color. Weighs 85 lbs.
